ialeUK organises annual workshops for postgraduate students and early career members to come together to learn and network. Experts from the field - whether academic, policy or practiontioner - provide insights and activities to generate knowledge and promote new skills. Past workshops have also included field visits with tours to see landscape restoration on the ground. Often spread over two days, past workshops have explored:
- 2023: Woodland Creation and Tree Planting
- 2022: Local Nature Recovery Strategies
- 2018: Landscape Ecology for Rewilding
- 2017: Modelling Techniques for Landscape Ecology
- 2016: Participatory GIS for Mapping Lived Landscapes
- 2015: Stakeholder Analysis and Participatory Methods
- 2014: Spatial Analysis using GIS
- 2013: Landscape Data Collection and Analysis
The workshops are exclusively available for free to ialeUK members so do consider joining us. Whilst previous workshops were aimed at postgraduate students only, we are now opening up future workshops to all ECR members (those within 5 years of your last studies). Future workshops details will be advertised in our newsletter and appear on our Events page. Please send enquiries to students@iale.uk.
