Ed and Laura will present Kew's Landscape Ecology Programme - researching the multiple values of UK biodiversity - with opportunity for discussion.
The Landscape Ecology Programme uses Kew’s Wakehurst estate to measure the co-benefits of biodiversity. A 535-acre mosaic landscape, with multiple habitats and decades of documented land use, Wakehurst is a useful site for research. We measure carbon sequestration, nature-connectedness and pollinators together across time and space to build evidence for multiple benefits of biodiversity. Our talk will provide a programme overview and then focus on a specific theme: our research into the relationship between fungal diversity, abundance and function and carbon sequestration.
The webinar will be Friday 5 May, 12:30-13:15 BST, via Zoom. Register here.
