Jim and Liz will present on Delivering Nature Networks in Wales, with opportunity for discussion.
Nature Networks - also known as Resilient Ecological Networks (RENs) - are recognised for their important contribution to nature recovery. They aim to improve the condition of the Protected Sites and their features, whilst building connectivity between them to form functionally connected ecological networks. The first part of the webinar will outline the ecological and policy basis of the Nature Network Programme in Wales, and describe how habitat network modelling has been employed to map large-scale priorities for action. The second part will look in more detail at developing RENs in South Central Wales, describing how mapping has been applied and how communities have been involved to achieve delivery.
The webinar will be Tuesday 6 June 2023, 12:30-13:15 BST, via Zoom. Register here.
