Editorial

The end of winter is upon us and it’s time to look forward to the busy schedule we have ahead for all of us researching and working in the field of landscape ecology. Call for abstracts are currently open for our upcoming European Congress, with symposia covering a diverse range of topics from landscape genetics to Earth Observation for biodiversity monitoring.

The postgraduate workshop held this May will provide an unmissable opportunity to explore approaches to collecting and analyzing spatial data – a must for all our fellow research students currently involved in, or starting out in the field.

This edition also brings you practical examples of on the ground applications of the ecosystem approach and encourages you to share your experiences though the Ecosystems Knowledge Network.

So there are lots of opportunities for you to get involved with all aspects of landscape ecology this year!
