Developing UK indicators for the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020

Two short surveys are being conducted by the UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC) and AEA  for a project on developing UK indicators for the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020. This project has been commissioned by the UK Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (Defra). The surveys seek information on existing indicators and reliable and robust data sets in relation to the development of UK indicators of climate change adaptation and habitat connectivity. Survey results will be used to inform discussions in an upcoming workshop, convened by UNEP-WCMC and AEA, which will explore options for indicator development and produce a series of technical papers for the UK Biodiversity Indicators Steering Group. You can participate in the surveys by clicking on the following links: climate change adaptation http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/35VLMVV; habitat connectivity http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/35DVTWM. The surveys take 10-15 minutes to complete and deadline for submission is 7 June 2012.
