Colleagues living outside Wales may not be aware that as of 1st April 2013 a new body, Natural Resources Wales has taken over the functions previously carried out by Countryside Council for Wales. The remit of the new organisation includes the functions previously carried out by CCW in Wales as well as the Welsh arms of the Environment Agency and the Forestry Commission.
